Emma started her career by accident when she wrote a story about a scruffy little dog in a bid to raise money for charity and bring a little joy to the children of her city after suffering a natural disaster. From there she was guided by professionals she met online and began writing dark fiction for adults. Three novels and ten short horror/sci-fi stories were published in three years. But the feeling that there was something missing was growing, and the 2019 pandemic (the second disaster in under ten years for Emma and her family) saw her reevaluate again. Although she had met a lot of amazing people on her writing journey, at her core she knew she was children's storyteller. And as soon as she'd made the decision to concentrate on writing more stories for children, an unmissable opportunity arrived by way of writing audio stories for Story Palace. Followed by working on a project for The London Screenwriters' Festival. With many more wonderful projects on the way!
